Oh My Cheese, It's Hoxford

Newsarama has a preview up of Welcome To Hoxford, Ben Templesmith's upcoming comic from IDW due to hit the shelves in August.

In the debut issue of Welcome to Hoxford, Raymond Delgado isn’t welcome at all. Rather, he’s the newest inmate at the Hoxford Correctional Facility and Mental Institution. He has no hope of release, parole, rehabilitation, or decent conversation. On a good day, he'll tell you he's Zeus and only bite your arm off. Literally. On a bad day, you won't have time to scream to the prison guard for help. But Dr Jessica Ainley, his doctor for five years, wants to help Ray and can't understand why the newly privatized, corporately run prison, won't give her access to her patients. And why are people always transferred into Hoxford, but no records show anyone ever transferring back out…?

It's fantastic, of course. Of course. I'm so pleased and about a thousand times more impatient for the rest now.

Oh, yeah, it's probably not for the faint of heart or whatever. Horrolicious. Absolutely yummy. It's on your pull list, right? Yes? It better be.

GF, haven't we had this conversation about the tempting reviews you write!? Between you and Juan (and now, I'm addicted to Kirk Warren's reviews too) my pull list only GROWS. I have many new comics to add to my list, and I think this might just be one of them.

THANKS ALOT!!

*attempts indignation, fails and starts assembling her list with as much dignity as she can muster*

I may pick it up, while I was excited for it, with the New Ways to Die arc in Spider-man, my wallet is a little full this month.

@M: OCD biting is extremely awesome.

@OB: I EAT YOUR WALLETS . . . on behalf of IDW and Templesmith. *g*

@A: What's this? Spider-Man trumps horror? Sweet merciful Thor!

I tend to prefer collecting Templesmith's trades, actually, I think it helps the flow of the stories a lot. Also, it's like having condensed gorgeous on my shelf, which is nice.
